Education Record User Group

With version 1.0.0 established for many admissions and registrar functions (High School and College Transcripts, Admissions Application, Education Record Test Score, etc.), PESC formed the Education Record User Group (ERUG) at the Fall 2008 Data Summit on October 6, 2008 in Crystal City to manage and govern future development and maintenance of these standards.

While many colleges, universities, and software and systems providers are using the EDI versions, many are also currently using the XML or PDF versions or plan on implementing them in the very near future. With that in mind, the scope of the ERUG includes all corresponding PESC Approved Standards in EDI, XML and PDF that fall under the admissions and registrar sector.

The User Group meets weekly by conference call, is supported by a PESC list and website, and meets in person during PESC's Spring and Fall Data Summits.

While participation in meetings of the Education Record User Group are open to any registered attendee, ongoing, active participation in the Education Record User Group is limited to representatives from PESC member organizations.
